If you’re a professional web designer using Divi Builder to design WordPress websites, you must be concerned about time efficiency. Time efficiency can help you produce desired results with the least wasted resources. So, being time efficient at web designing means being as productive as possible while minimizing wasted time and energy.
This article might be helpful for you if you’re searching for productivity in designing websites, and strategy is the most important thing to reach productivity. Changing the default color options in your Divi Builder is one strategy to get time efficiency and increase your productivity.
How to Change Default Color Options in Divi
Changing the default color options in Divi is very easy. You have two options to do that, as below:
- By Setting on the Divi Theme Options
- By Setting on the Module Settings
Method 1: By Setting on the Divi Theme Options
On your WordPress dashboard, go to Divi -> Theme Options. Once you enter the Divi Theme Options page, navigate to the General tab -> Color Pickers Default Palette section.

Now you can change the default color options with your preferred colors by clicking the colors default palette (see the GIF below).

Once you finish setting the default color options, apply the changes by clicking the Save Changes button.
Method 2: By Setting on the Module Settings
Next, we would like to move to the second method of changing the default color options in Divi.
Go to the Divi Builder editor, select any module, and insert it into the column. In this example, we use an Icon module.
Alright, once you insert the module, navigate to the color settings, and you will find the default color options.

Next, click the Gear icon (⚙️), and you can change the default color options with your preferred colors by clicking the colors default palette.
Click the Check icon on the hex color code box to apply each chosen default color. Once you’ve finished setting the default color options, use the changes by clicking the Finish Editing button (see the GIF below).

The Bottom Line
This article shows how easily you can change the default color options in Divi. The topic in this article might be only a tiny thing, but we believe that small things contribute to the big things that happen.
If you often create WordPress websites with Divi, you can use Divi Cloud for time efficiency. You can store your Divi assets (layouts, theme builder templates, code snippets, etc.) in the cloud, and you can access that from any website you create.
