Breadcrumbs is touted to have a good impact for SEO. Outside that, breadcrumbs allow your visitors to better understand the link structure of your website so that they can explore more pages on your website via breadcrumbs. Unlike Elementor, Divi has no built-in element to add breadcrumbs. To add breadcrumbs in Divi, you need the help of a plugin.
Turns out, you can add breadcrumbs in Divi without installing an extra plugin, but you need to use Yoast.
Yoast, as you have probably known, is a popular SEO plugin for WordPress. One of the features offered by Yoast is breadcrumbs. The method to add this feature is varied depending on the page builder you use. As said above, Divi has no built-in element aimed at displaying breadcrumbs. So, how to add breadcrumbs in Divi without needing to install an extra add-on?
Yoast comes with a “secret” shortcode aimed at displaying breadcrumbs. You can make use of it to display breadcrumbs on your Divi page (or custom template). Here is the shortcode.
[wpseo_breadcrumb]
Adding Breadcrumbs in Divi without a Plugin
First, make sure you have installed the Yoast plugin. Next, edit a page (or custom template) using Divi Builder. Once the Divi Builder editor opens, add the Text module.

Once the Text module is added, click the Text tab on the Body field and paste the shortcode above.

To style up the breadcrumbs, you can go to the Design tab on the settings panel. On the Text settings block, click the chain icon.

You can set things like font size, font family, text color, and so on.
To change the separator, you can go to Yoast SEO -> Search Appearance on your WordPress dashboard. Click the Breadcrumbs tab and type/paste the separator you like on the Separator between breadcrumbs field.

Don’t forget to click the Save changes button to apply the change.
The Bottom Line
You can use breadcrumbs as the extra navigation to your website to allow your visitors to better understand the link structure on your website. More importantly, adding breadcrumbs is beneficial for your website when it comes to SEO. Divi has no native element to add breadcrumbs, but if you use Yoast, you don’t need to install an extra plugin only to add breadcrumbs. You can make use of the Yoast built-in shortcode aimed at displaying breadcrumbs.
